Do you ever stop and think, and realize months have gone by without you noticing? There are times I feel years of my life have disappeared into a blur of school, work, and time spent online and in front of the tv.
I've always been a rather prolific photographer, and I stuck with my 35mm camera longer than most. I finally got a digital camera this past July, and I carry it with me everywhere. Every time I glance through the thousands of pictures I've taken since then, it's an instant window into my memory.
I don't make any efforts at professional quality, but I love sharing my pictures with the people I love. Rather than just keeping them in folders on my hard drive, I want to pull them out and explain the meanings and memories behind them. Unfortunately, almost everyone I want to share these parts of my life with lives too far away.
I spend more time online than anyone else I know, but I've never really been able to maintain a blog consistently. I'm hoping this one will be different. I'm planning to spend some time getting this set up and possibly making some back-dated posts, and then I'll send a link to some family and friends. If you stumble onto this and you're not in one of those groups, welcome! I'm not exactly shy. :o)
